9949 Series Concealed Vertical Cable Exit Device
The 98/99 Series devices are wide stile heavy-duty push pads. The 98/99 Series have all been certified to the highest industry standards and are commonly used in higher education, K-12 schools, hospitals, hospitality, and government buildings among others.

- Field Selectable Functions: Device ships EO/DT/NL; For TP, K or L remove NL drive screw from device
- Dogging: Hex Key Dogging, standard on panic exit devices
- Latch Bolt: Deadlocking anti-friction top and bottom bolt. "U" shaped top latch with greater than 90-degree bolt-to-strike engagement provides greater strength and deadlocking without the need for an auxiliary latch or unsightly latch release hardware
- Strikes: Includes 249 top strike and 349 bottom strike. Includes 338 Filler Plate for retrofitting.
- Fasteners: Includes screw pack for 1 3⁄4" (44mm) and 2 1⁄4" (57mm) thick metal or wood doors.
- Vertical Cables: 7/32" (6 mm) Diameter stainless steel cables designed to maintain positive latching even if alignment is not perfect due to changing door conditions.
- Duty: Designed for high use and abuse in institutional applications like schools, hospitals and government facilities
- Modular Design: A variety of field-configurable options and retrofit kits available to keep up with changing technology and meet a facility's changing needs
- Maintenance Requirements: Significantly less maintenance than traditional vertical rods, the entire assembly can be removed and reinstalled while door is hanging in a matter of minutes. Should door sag, bottom latch can be repositioned in minutes by a single person without removing the door from frame. Frequent adjustment is greatly reduced
